Ipod touch conspiracy? GPS? Microphone? Ans others. please answer!?

when i say "ipod" i mean a 2nd Gen iPod Touch, and when I say "they" i mean Apple.

I have a few questions about the ipod touch and some weird things about it.

First of, a couple of days ago, I (while i was in my wifi network) used Mapst to get directions to go somewhere. i then left my house and as i was driving down the freeway the blue dot that shows where i am continually kept up with me as i was driving down the freeway. i checked to see somehow magicaly i was connecting to networks and it knew where i was by that but there was no wireless networks and it still manged to keep track of me like a gps would…….This isnt suppost to happen is it? cause the ipod doesnt have gps. do you think maby apple isnt telling us as much as they know, for example they lied and lied about the Bluetooth thing after people had proved the ipod had bluetooth capabilites by hacking and opening up the ipod. now with 3.0 firmware you have bluetooth sterio capabilites..

also if you look above your screen between the top and where the screen starts and a little off center to the right when your looking at your ipod from the right angle you can see a small red area, it almost looks like its imbedded into the ipod. i have had 2 ipods now and it was on both so i know its not just a random chance of a manufactor mistake. do you think maby this is a camera or a microphone that there not admitting they installed?

im a conspiracy freak and im wondering if anyone else thinks the govenrment might be using Apples technology to track us? oh ya, and what about these new headphones with a mic on them! now if apple wanted to, while we were in wifi range they could hear everything we said and did..

any others out there who have any theries? i would love to hear what you think. im considering calling apple and asking about the whole maps thing..should i?
What do the proximity sensors do? Also I was driving down the free way with dirt and trees as far is the eye could see on each side of me…I don’t think there was wiffi out there.

Enable GPS on Verizon Wireless?

I have a Blackberry Curve 8330 from Verizon Wireless. I would like to use the GPS feature to map my bike routes. I have two questions:
1. The internal GPS. I do not subscribe to the VZ Nav feature, and do not want to pay. I did set my GPS from "911 only" to "locate on" under the options – advanced setting. But the apps that I have found and downloaded (GPSed, GPS Tracker) do not recognize the GPS. The Blackberry Maps app does, and will track distance and speed,

2. Any good GPS routing apps that will work. GPSed and GPS Tracker do not seem to find the GPS. Blackberry Maps does, but only records speed and total distance, not a route to save. I am looking for something like MapMyRide, but free or a one time fee.
